Introduction

Bladder exstrophy is a rare condition, with an incidence of 3.3 per 100 000 newborns [8]. Exstrophic anomalies can be classified into four main types: isolated epispadias, classical bladder exstrophy, cloacal exstrophy and exstrophy variants. Exstrophy variants consist of covered bladder exstrophy, also referred to as pseudoexstrophy, duplicate exstrophy and superior vesical fissure [1] [2] [9]. These variants of classical bladder exstrophy represent a rare subgroup of anomalies that all have a split symphysis and divergent rectus muscles as the main feature in common [9]. We report here the case of a boy with covered bladder exstrophy and scrotal duplication.
