Kernaussagen
Folgenden Maßnahmen sind auf Intensivstationen hinsichtlich der Infektionsprävention und der Vermeidung der Ausbreitung multiresistenter Erreger unbedingt zu beachten:

Surveillance der Situation (NI und multiresistente Erreger)
-
regelmäßige Fortbildungen sämtlicher Mitarbeiter der Intensivstation zu infektionspräventiven Maßnahmen
-
Compliance zur Händedesinfektion beobachten
-
rationaler Antibiotikaeinsatz, um eine Selektion multiresistenter Erreger und von Clostridium difficile zu vermeiden
Darüber hinaus sollte man die spezifischen Probleme der verschiedenen Intensivstationen regelmäßig analysieren und entsprechende Interventionen einleiten. Die regelmäßige Kooperation der Intensivmediziner mit Mikrobiologen oder Infektiologen sowie Krankenhaushygienikern wird dringend empfohlen.
