Significance
A direct iron-catalyzed oxidative C(sp³)-H transformation of allylarenes and alkenes into alkenyl nitriles is described. During this process three C-H bond cleavages occur. Thereby, the cleavage of the allyl C(sp³)-H bond is involved in the rate-determining step.
