Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe und die Deutsche Diabetesgesellschaft haben im August 2011 eine evidenzbasierte Leitlinie zum Gestationsdiabetes verabschiedet. Die Überarbeitung war notwendig, weil neue Daten aus randomisierten Therapiestudien und zur Diagnostik des GDM berücksichtigt werden mussten.
