Abstract
At DDW 2012 the topic Endosonography once again got allot of attention. New EUS needles broaden the range of instruments used for fine needle puncture. The focus of interventional endoscopists has shifted to EUS-guided cholangiodrainage and the establishment of endoscopic necrosectomy as treatment modality in symptomatic patients suffering from necrotizing pancreatitis.
