Abstract

The article “Interventional Endosonography” provides an overview of the current applications and techniques of therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound. The first therapeutic intervention reported was plexus neurolysis followed by pseudocyst drainage. More current applications include cholangio- and pancreatic duct drainage. EUS-guided therapeutic interventions are discussed in more detail and broaden the spectrum of the interventional endoscopy.
