Was bedeutet Depression aus systemischer Sicht?

Aus systemischer Sicht ist „Depression“ primär nicht eine Erkrankung, sondern wird erst einmal als ein kultur- und gesellschaftsspezifisches Konstrukt betrachtet. Es sollte kontextuell verstanden und ­entsprechend behandelt werden. In der Praxis bedeutet das, dass Kinder, Partner und andere Familienmitglieder, wie auch die ­Großfamilie, Freunde und Helfersysteme aktiv in die therapeutische Arbeit ­einbezogen werden, um „Depressives Verhalten“ (nicht „Depression“) in Beziehungskontexten zu verändern.
