Background
Phototherapeutic excimer laser keratectomy (PTK) is a successful therapy for Thiel-Behnke corneal dystrophy. However, this treatment often leads to unpredictable refractive changes, such as hyperopic shift [1] and remaining corneal irregularities. A topography-guided photorefractive ablation achieves better postoperative outcome in refractive accuracy and corneal smoothness [2].
