Ligand L3 in Scheme 7 was inadvertently displayed with the incorrect absolute configuration, as the S enantiomer. The ­correct picture with the R-configured ligand is shown below.

Therefore, the proposed stereochemical outcome (Figure 3 and the second sentence in the left column on page 858) is incorrect. The absolute configuration at C-4 of the cycloadducts 8 should be opposite to that of 1,3-dioxolanes 2 from vinyl­ethylene carbonates with formaldehyde. The true stereochemical outcome will be investigated in the near future. However, this do not affect any conclusions of this Synpacts article. The authors sincerely apologize for the mistake.
