Functional rhinoplasty is defined as surgical correction of nasal obstruction due to nasal valve dysfunction. After rhinoplasty, it is widely accepted that it takes 1 full year to achieve the final result in terms of nasal cosmesis and, by extrapolation, in terms of nasal function. However, the literature supporting this is scarce. In this study, we address this deficiency by examining the natural history of nasal obstruction following functional rhinoplasty using serial evaluations with patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs).
