Hilfe für psychisch kranke Langzeitarbeitslose

Zusammenfassung

Mehr als die Hälfte älterer Langzeitarbeitsloser leidet unter einer psychischen Erkrankung, wobei nur eine Minderheit eine leitlinienkonforme Behandlung erhält. Dabei kann die psychische Erkrankung sowohl Folge, als auch Ursache für die Arbeitslosigkeit sein. In jedem Fall stellt die psychische Erkrankung eine Quelle unnötigen Leidens der Betroffenen und ein beseitigbares Vermittlungshemmnis dar. Die Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie der Universität Leipzig bietet (gemeinsam mit dem Jobcenter) Langzeitarbeitslosen das “Psychosoziale Coaching” an, mit dem Ziel, diagnostische und therapeutische Defizite zu identifizieren und über Vermittlung in das Versorgungssystem abzubauen. Die modellhaft entwickelten Konzepte und Materialien haben sich bewährt und können von anderen Regionen in Deutschland übernommen werden.

Summary

Among long-term unemployed persons more than a half suffer from a mental disorder. Only a minority of them is treated psychotherapeutically, according to German guidelines conform. At the same time the mental disease can be consequence as well as cause of the unemployment. In either case the mental disease is a source of unnecessary distress for persons concerned and constitutes a barrier for the re-entry to the job market as well. The Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the University of Leipzig in cooperation with the employment agency offers the so called “Psychosocial Coaching”. This programme targets the identification and reduction of diagnostic and therapeutic deficits by placing the persons concerned into a therapy. The developed concept and materials have proven themselves and can be adopted by other employment agencies in Germany.
