Abstract

Summary

The management of haemophilia in the dog is described in the light of the planned breeding of 10 litters of dogs from known carrier bitches.

The type and incidence of spontaneous haemorrhages, and the methods and effect of treatment with Antihaemophilic globulin concentrates prepared from bovine and pig blood are discussed.

This study has demonstrated that second and subsequent courses of these animal concentrates of AHG can produce effective levels in the blood and are not accompanied by a high incidence of reactions.
