I want to thank Dr. Buchanan for the opportunity to serve as the guest editor for this issue. I would also like to thank my friends and colleagues for serving as the lead authors on the pediatric plastic surgery topics included. Reconstructive pediatric surgery is a highly specialized field that is constantly changing. Each of these articles provides the latest information for pediatric plastic surgeons on state-of-the-art care for these frequently difficult problems.
