4-(Phenyl/2-thienyl)-2-[N-(4-chlorophenyl/phenyl)-N-trimethylsilylamino]-1-thia-3-azabutadienes, formed on reaction of N-trimethylsilyl imines 1 with isothiocyanates, react with electron-deficient nitriles to give substituted 2-imino-3,4-dihydro-1,3,5-2H-thiadiazine derivatives 3 in excellent yield.
