N-Fluorobenzenesulfonimide [1; (PhSO2)2NF] is a stable, crystalline electrophilic fluorinating agent prepared in one step from commercially available benzenesulfonimide. It allows the fluorination of neutral and carbanionic nucleophiles ranging from slightly activated aromatic compounds to highly reactive aryl- and vinyllithium derivatives in good yield.
