Das diabetische Fußsyndrom - Diagnostik

Rund ein Viertel der ca. 6-8 Mio. in Deutschland lebenden Diabetiker erleiden im Laufe ihres Lebens ein diabetisches Fußsyndrom. Die jährliche Inzidenz von Fußulzerationen bei Diabetikern liegt zwischen 2 und 5 %, die Prävalenz zwischen 4 und 10 %. Die Kosten für die Behandlung von Fußulzerationen innerhalb der ersten 3 Jahre nach Diagnosestellung liegen bei ca. 25 000 EUR pro Patient [1].
