Zusammenfassung

Aufgrund der hohen Morbidität und Letalität einer Subarachnoidalblutung erfordern rupturierte und aus prophylaktischen Gründen auch bestimmte nicht rupturierte intrakranielle Aneurysmen eine Behandlung. Alternative Verfahren sind operatives Clipping oder endovaskuläres Coiling. Für die meisten Patienten ist das Coiling das schonendere Verfahren, wobei sich ein etwas höheres Rezidivblutungsrisiko ergibt. Die Entscheidung über das individuelle Therapieverfahren sollte möglichst gemeinsam von Neurochirurg und Neuroradiologe in einem neurovaskulären Zentrum getroffen werden.

Abstract

A subarachnoid hemorrhage has a high morbidity and mortality. That is why ruptured and for prophylactic reasons also selected unruptured intracranial aneurysms have to be treated. Alternatively used methods are surgical clipping or interventional coiling. For most patients coiling is safer but it has a slightly higher risk of rebleeding. Vascular neurosurgeon and interventional neuroradiologist should dicide together about the method of treatment.
