Abstract
Direct and efficient transformation of Baylis-Hillman adducts into corresponding (Z)-allyl iodides has been achieved by treatment with TMSCl/NaI in THF at room temperature. The readily available reagents, mild conditions together with its generality make this procedure quite attractive.
