Zusammenfassung
An Hand eigener Untersuchungen wird die Bedeutung der Sonographie für die Diagnostik des kleinen palpa-blen und okkulten Karzinoms besprochen. Von insgesamt 98 Karzinomen dieser beiden Gruppen fanden wir 80 mittels Mammographie, 7 mittels Duktographie und 11 mittels Sonographie, dabei haben wir 3573 Patientinnen mit weiter abzuklärenden Tast- und Röntgenbefunden sonographisch untersucht. Die Sonographie ist eine wertvolle Zusatzuntersuchung, die nur gezielt, nach ausgearbeiteten Kriterien, eingesetzt werden soll.
Abstract
The importance of sonography in the diagnosis of the small palpable and occult carcinoma of the female breast is discussed on the basis of the authors' own studies. Of a total of 98 carcinomas in this group, 80 were identified by means of mammography, 7 by ducto-graphy and 11 by sonography; a total of 3573 women were examined sonographically in whom results of pal-pation and x-ray examination required further clarifica-tion. Sonography is a valuable additional examination that should be employed strictly on-target according to previously worked-out criteria.
