Zusammenfassung

Zum 1.1.2003 soll in Deutschland ein pauschalierendes Entgeltsystem für die Behandlung in Akutkrankenhäusern eingeführt werden. Die Selbstverwaltungspartner haben sich auf das System der australischen AR-DRGs geeinigt. Das System wird vorgestellt. Besondere Probleme der leistungsgerechten Kostenerstattung für neurologische Abteilungen werden geschildert.

Summary

In 2003, Germany will introduce Diagnosis Related Groups as a means of health care financing for acute-care hospitals. An adapted version of the Australian AR-DRGs will be implemented. The system is described. Special problems of neurological departments are outlined.
