Zusammenfassung

Die bislang nicht berichtete, teilweise Rückbildung einer tubulären Stenose bei fibromuskulärer Dysplasie der Carotis interna wird dargestellt. Sie wird interpretiert als reversibler Spasmus, der auch ätiopathogenetisch Bedeutung haben könnte.

Summary

The hitherto not reported partial reversal of a tubular stenosis in a case of fibromuscular dysplasia of the internal carotid artery is documented. This finding is interpreted as a reversible spasm of the artery which might be of pathogenetic importance in that condition.
