Armplexus- und Akzessoriusschäden nach V. jugularis interna- Katheterismus

Zusammenfassung

Kasuistik über zwei Patienten mit distaler Akzessoriuslähmung und einen Patienten mit Armplexusschädigung nach V. jugularis interna-Katheterismus. Es handelt sich um relativ seltene, aber offenbar nicht immer vermeidbare Komplikationen der Jugularvenenpunktion. Die Prognose war in allen Fällen günstig. Zur Vermeidung derartiger iatrogener Nervenläsionen ist eine sachgemäße Punktionstechnik, die ausführlich beschrieben wird, notwendig.

Summary

The article presents case reports on two patients with distal palsy of the accessory nerve and on one patient with lesion of the plexus brachialis after catheterisation of the internal jugular vein. These are relatively rare but obviously not always avoidable complications of jugular vein puncture. Prognosis was favourable in all cases. To avoid such iatrogenic nerve lesions it will be necessary to effect punctures properly and skilfully. The requisite technique is described in detail.
