Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit monosymptomatischer Optikusneuritis, bei denen entzündliche IgG-Veränderungen im Liquor nachweisbar sind, haben ein statistisch erhöhtes MS-Risiko. An einem Kollektiv prospektiv verfolgter Optikusneuritis-Patienten konnte gezeigt werden, dass dieses Risiko mit der Höhe der lokalen IgG-Produktion variiert, und dass auf dieser Basis eine Einteilung in 3 Risikogruppen möglich ist. Eine Korrelation zwischen Intensität der IgG-Produktion und Vorkommen der HLA-Antigene B7 und DR2 ergab sich nicht.

Summary

Monosymptomatic optic neuritis patients with inflammatory CSF IgG alterations show a statistically increased risk of developing multiple sclerosis. In a prospective study of optic neuritis patients, a covariation of the risk with the intensity of CNS local IgG production could be demonstrated. On this basis, a subdivision into 3 groups of risk appears possible. No correlation was found between intensity of IgG production and occurrence of HLA antigens B7 and DR2.
