Die besonderen neurologischen Nystagmusformen

Zusammenfassung

Die für den Neurologen wichtigen Nystagmusformen werden in ihrer Phänomenologie sowie in ihrer lokalisatorischen und ätiologischen Bedeutung beschrieben. Im einzelnen wird eingegangen auf den kortikalen Reiznystagmus als Teil eines epileptischen Anfalles, auf den blickparetischen Nystagmus bei Läsionen der frontalen bzw. pontinen Blickzentren, auf den Nystagmus bei der internukleären Ophthalmoplegie und auf die Modifikationen des optokinetischen Nystagmus. Es folgt eine Darstellung des periodisch alternierenden Nystagmus, des see-saw-Nystagmus, des Nystagmus retractorius, des Pendelnystagmus, des zirkulären oder elliptischen Nystagmus, des Opsoklonus, der Vertikalnystagmen (upbeat- und down-beat-Nystagmus), des ocular bobbing, des Rebound-Nystagmus, des Zentripetal-Nystagmus, des ocular flutter, der Myoklonien des M. obliquus superior sowie des willkürlichen Nystagmus. Nur kurz erwähnt werden der Nystagmus beim Spasmus nutans, der kongenitale Nystagmus sowie der latente Nystagmus.

Summary

The types of nystagmus which are important for the neurologist are described in respect of their phenomenology and their localisatory and aetiological importance. The article deals with the cortical stimulation nystagmus forming part of an epileptic attack, with nystagmus associated with gaze palsy in lesions of the frontal or pontine gaze centers, with nystagmus in internuclear ophthalmoplegia, and with the modifications of optokinetic nystagmus. This is followed by the description of the periodic alternating nystagmus, the see-saw nystagmus, the retraction nystagmus, the acquired pendular nystagmus, the circular or elliptical nystagmus, the opsoclonus, the up-beat and down-beat nystagmus, ocular bobbing, the rebound nystagmus, the centripetal nystagmus in cerebellar disease, the ocular flutter, superior oblique myokymia, and voluntary nystagmus. Brief mention is also made of nystagmus in spasmus nutans, congenital nystagmus and latent nystagmus.
