Zusammenfassung
Retinaimplantate zur Wiederherstellung eines orientierenden Sehvermögens bei erblindeten Patienten mit distalen Netzhautdegenerationen werden weltweit von zahlreichen koordinierten Forschungsgruppen technologisch entwickelt und experimentell erprobt. In diesem Review wird der aktuelle Stand dieses Forschungs- und Entwicklungsbereichs dargestellt.
Abstract
Currently a number of coordinated groups are undertaking experimental research and technological development in order to design implants that may bypass distal degenerative diseases of the retina and in this way provide a restoration of basic orientation in blind people. This paper reviews the present state of these developments.
