Abstract

C. Ramstedt's biographical data are presented and his surgical and scientific capacity is appraised. Special emphasis is on his role in the development of the surgical treatment of hypertrophic pyloric stenosis.

Zusammenfassung

Anhand von biographischen Notizen wird C. Ramstedts Wirken als Chirurg, Wissenschaftler und künstlerisch interessierter Mensch gewürdigt. Besonders wird sein Anteil an der Entwicklung der nach ihm benannten Operationsmethode bei der hypertrophischen Pylorusstenose betont.
