Zusammenfassung
Bei 3 HNO-Patienten wurden intraokuläre Druckänderungen prä-, intra- und postoperativ bestimmt. Die Ausschaltung des Nervus vidianus führte bei allen Patienten zu einer signifikanten postoperativen Augendruckverminderung, die in 2 Fällen auch nach 4 Wochen unverändert anhielt.
Summary
A parasympathetic innervation of the choroidal blood vessels of facial nerve origin with a relay in the pterygopalatine ganglion has been described anatomically by Ruskell (1970). In three patients, we recorded the intraocular pressure before, during and up to 1 month after coagulation of the nerve of the pterygoid canal.
