Zusammenfassung

Irren ist menschlich – eine Fehlinterpretation eines exulzerierten Kardiakarzinoms als Übergangsulkus (Refluxösophagitis Gr. IV) wird erst dadurch zu einem groben Diagnosefehler, wenn auf die Entnahme von Gewebsproben verzichtet wird. Allerdings führt bei der schlechten Prognose des Tumorleidens die dadurch bedingte Beweislastumkehr kaum zu finanziellen Konsequenzen.

Abstract

Human error, i. e. the misdiagnosis of an exulcerated carcinoma of the cardia as a peptic ulcer of the oesophago-gastric junction is only then a severe mistake when no biopsies were taken. Financial consequences are, however, of minor importance due to the poor prognosis of this entity.
