Ösophagusfunktionsszintigrafie

Zusammenfassung

Die Ösophagusfunktionsszintigrafie ist ein einfach durchführbares, nicht invasives, quantifizierendes Verfahren zur Objektivierung einer Störung der Boluspassage durch die Speiseröhre. Die Methode dient primär der Diagnostik von Motilitätsstörungen des tubulären Ösophagusabschnitts. Die vorliegende Arbeit gibt eine Übersicht über die Durchführung, Auswertung und Interpretation szintigrafischer Untersuchungen des Bolustransits, wobei die Grundzüge der visuellen Interpretation von Passagebildern sowie die Möglichkeiten der quantitativen Auswertung dargelegt werden. An typischen Befundmustern werden die art- und differenzialdiagnostische Einordnung von Motilitätsstörungen erörtert.

Abstract

Esophageal scintigraphy is a simple, non-invasive, quantitative method to objectively assess disturbances of esophageal bolus transit. The method has shown to provide valuable diagnostic information in esophageal motility disorders affecting the tubular esophagus. This article reviews how to perform this diagnostic procedure including the most relevant aspects of data processing and interpretation. The fundamental concepts of visual and quantitative evaluation are highlighted with the aim to guide in the differential diagnosis of various esophageal motility disorders based on bolus transit patterns and the primary location and severity of a disturbed bolus transit.
