Zusammenfassung
Die Verfügbarkeit von Radiopharmaka unterliegt einem besonders ausgeprägten Wandel,
der von mehreren Faktoren beeinflusst wird. Dies sind neben den speziellen radioaktiven
Eigenschaften, wie den relativ kurzen Halbwertzeiten und den daraus resultierenden
Produktions- und Logistikproblemen sowie den strikten gesetzlich geregelten Sicherheitsanforderungen,
ökonomische Faktoren, die bei den Radiopharmaka als sehr spezielle Nischenprodukte
der Pharmaindustrie zu häufigen Umstrukturierungen des betroffenen Geschäftsfeldes
führen. Dabei werden regelmäßig unrentable Produkte vom Markt genommen, aber auch
neue vielversprechende Produkte eingeführt. Der hier vorgestellte Beitrag soll einen
Überblick über die derzeitige Verfügbarkeit von Radiopharmaka in Deutschland bieten.
Abstract
The availability of radiopharmaceuticals is subject to frequent changes, due to several
factors. These are firstly the radioactive nature of these products with relative
short half-lives, which lead to production and logistic problems, not to mention the
regulatory burden in all aspects of handling radioactivity. Secondly economic factors
lead to frequent changes of company ownership of these production activities which
represent only niche-products in the world of the pharma-business. In the course of
these changes many products donʼt survive, whereas some new products reach the market.
This overview is to summarise the current availability of radiopharmaceuticals on
the market in Germany.
