Anlässlich des 70. Geburtstags von Professor Dr. Beat Meier am 14. April 2019 fand am 11. April 2019 an der Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (ZHAW) in Wädenswil der „11th Wädenswil Day of Life Sciences“ mit einem internationalen Symposium über Hydroxyanthracenderivate statt. In diesem Rahmen trug Dr. Barbara Steinhoff im Namen des GPT-Vorstandes Grußworte für den Jubilar vor, die nachstehend in deutscher Fassung abgedruckt sind.
