Zusammenfassung
Von der Sepsis-assoziierten Purpura fulminans sind überwiegend Kinder zwischen einem und drei Jahren und Jugendliche zwischen 16 und 18 Jahren betroffen. Eine frühe Diagnose ist auch deswegen so wichtig, damit die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Amputation so gering wie möglich gehalten wird.
