Zusammenfassung
Einige Pflanzen zur Wundbehandlung, die der mittelalterlichen arabischen Tradition entstammen, wurden in Europa bis weit in die Frühe Neuzeit hinein zu diesem Zweck genutzt, sind jedoch heute nahezu vergessen. Sie und ähnliche traditionelle Wundheilpflanzen bieten großes Potenzial nicht nur für die aktuelle Dermotherapie und Wundbehandlung, sondern auch für die zukünftige Suche nach Wirkstoffen.
Abstract
Medicinal plants of the Arabic tradition in wound treatment and dermatology
Some plants for wound treatment which derive from the medieval Arabic tradition were used in Europe well into early modern times, but are almost forgotten today. These particular plants and similar traditional wound healing plants offer great potential not only for current dermatology and wound treatment, but also for the future search for active ingredients.
