Zur adäquaten Therapie und Symptomkontrolle ist es wichtig, neuropathische Schmerzen als eigene Schmerzform zu differenzieren. Eine zielgerichtete Anamnese, die ausführliche klinische Untersuchung und ggf. eine erweiterte apparative Diagnostik ermöglichen die Abgrenzung neuropathischer Schmerzen von nozizeptiven und noziplastischen Schmerzen.
