Isolierte diastolische Hypertone ohne prognostische Bedeutung?

Neue Hypertonieleitlinien der US-amerikanischen Kardiologenvereinigungen AHA und ACC aus dem Jahr 2017 korrigierten die Grenzen für die Definition von hohem Blutdruck nach unten, von 140/90 mmHg oder mehr (frühere Leitlinie des Joint National Committee 7 aus 2003) auf 130/80 mmHg oder mehr. Ob eine isolierte diastolische Hypertonie jedoch die Prognose der Patienten überhaupt beeinträchtigt, war Gegenstand einer aktuellen Studie.
