Summary
The history of migraine treatment is used to show how the homeopathic concept of symptoms differs fundamentally from the traditional concept of symptoms. With the concept of symptoms Hahnemann breaks through the millennia-old paradigm of the disease as a manifestation. Only the sensually perceptible symptoms are placed in a similar relationship with the remedy. It is shown that there are symptoms which are in a conditional relationship: the causa symptoms. These have a primary importance in the choice of remedy, at the same time they are hypothetical, yet part of genuine homeopathy.
