Fette runter mit Omega-3? – Der Einfluss von Omega-3-Fettsäuren auf den Lipidstoffwechsel

Zusammenfassung
Immer wieder hört man, dass Omega-3-Fettsäuren die Blutfette senken. Doch was ist gesichert? Werden nur die Triglyzeride gesenkt oder auch das Cholesterin und hier besonders das als schädlich angesehene LDL? Haben alle Omega-3-Fettsäuren diese Effekte oder gibt es Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Omega-3-Fettsäuren? In diesem Artikel soll die wissenschaftliche Datenlage hierzu gesichtet werden.
Abstract
We always hear that omega-3 fatty acids lower blood lipids. But what is known fur sure? Are only the triglycerides lowered or is cholesterol also lowered, especially LDL, which is considered harmful? Do all omega-3 fatty acids have these effects or are there differences between individual omega-3 fatty acids? The purpose of this article is to review the scientific data on this.
