Abstract
A randomized double-blind study with amino acids involving a total of 38 recreational athletes shows exciting results with practical relevance in a scientific context: it is not the quantity that is decisive, but rather the quality and composition of the amino acids supplied. With only 8 grams of essential amino acids in hydrolyzed form, relief of the sensation of pain was achieved within 8 weeks of intervention. Thus, the results contrast with many previous studies.
