Abstract
The landscape of medicine has slowly evolved towards more holism and individuality. Part of this progress were the connection and integration of the conventional, biomedical with the complementary naturopathic health concept, which strives for interdisciplinary and multimodal synergies that bring relief and/or healing to the patient. In the following, integrative medicine is first defined, then the procedure and working methods are described, and finally the effectiveness and costs are discussed.
