Das belastungsinduzierte Lungenbluten ist eine ernstzunehmende Differenzialdiagnose bei Leistungsschwäche des Sportpferds in allen Disziplinen des Pferdesports. Die Früherkennung und die Erstellung individueller Behandlungs- und Managementpläne sind die Grundlagen für den Einsatz betroffener Pferde im Sport.
