Zusammenfassung

Harninkontinenz der Frau kann in jedem Lebensalter auftreten. Es gibt ein breites diagnostisches und therapeutisches Instrumentarium, dessen Anwendung sich am Leidensdruck und an der Therapiemotivation der Patientin orientiert. Vor einer operativen Therapie der Inkontinenz sollten konservative Maßnahmen berücksichtigt werden. Eine fachgerechte Diagnostik und eine gut fundierte Beratung kann jeder betroffenen Frau die Chance auf eine individualisierte Behandlung eröffnen. Ziel dieses Beitrags sind praxisnahe und patientenorientierte Tipps aus Sicht einer Klinikerin zu formulieren.

Abstract

Female urinary incontinence can occur at any age. There is a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic tools, the application of which is based on the patient’s suffering and the motivation for therapy. Conservative measures should be considered before surgical treatment of incontinence. Professional diagnostic testing and well-founded advice can give every affected woman the chance of individualised treatment. The aim of this article is to formulate practical and patient-oriented tips from the point of view of a clinician.
