Introduction
Acute postinfectious glomerulonephritis (APIGN) is one of the most common causes of
acute glomerulonephritis in children. It may lead to inflammation and proliferation
of glomerular tissue through immunologic mechanisms (Balasubramanian R, Paediatr Int
Child Health 2017;37:240–247).
