Leistenschmerz beim Sportler - MRT-Diagnostik der Symphysenregion

Groin pain in athletes – MRI-imaging of pubic symphysis
Thierno D. Diallo

Abstract

Groin pain in athletes presents a diagnostic challenge. MRI of the pubic symphysis has emerged as a crucial tool for assessing overuse reactions and acute injuries. This review article highlights relevant anatomy, typical MRI findings, and their clinical significance. It discusses the correlation between imaging and symptoms, as well as important differential diagnoses. The aim is to provide radiologists with a comprehensive understanding of MRI imaging of the pubic symphysis in athletes with groin pain, thereby contributing to accurate diagnosis and effective interdisciplinary communication.

Kernaussagen
