Telemedizin hat in den letzten Jahren aufgrund der Digitalisierung, des anhaltenden Ärztemangels und der Coronapandemie eine rasante Entwicklung durchlaufen. Sie bietet Patienten die Möglichkeit, medizinische Dienstleistungen aus der Ferne zu nutzen. Parallel dazu hat sich die künstliche Intelligenz (KI) als Diagnosetool und Instrument zur Überwachung von Vitalparametern etabliert. Diese Technologien versprechen nicht nur eine Verbesserung der Gesundheitsversorgung (z. B. im Rahmen der personalisierten und prädiktiven Analyse von Gesundheitsdaten), sondern werfen auch komplexe ethische und rechtliche Fragen auf.
Abstract
Telemedicine has undergone rapid development in recent years due to digitalization, the ongoing shortage of doctors and the coronavirus pandemic. It offers patients the opportunity to access medical services remotely. At the same time, artificial intelligence (AI) has established itself as a diagnostic tool and instrument for monitoring vital parameters. These technologies not only promise to improve healthcare (e.g. in the context of personalized and predictive analysis of health data), but also raise complex ethical and legal issues.
