Die neue Klassifikation chronischer Schmerzen in der ICD-11 – Eine Einführung

Die ICD-11 enthält erstmalig eine umfangreiche Klassifikation chronischer Schmerzen, die das biopsychosoziale Schmerzmodell widerspiegelt. Chronische primäre Schmerzen (Schmerzen als eigener Gesundheitszustand) werden von chronischen sekundären Schmerzen (Schmerzen als Symptom einer zugrunde liegenden Erkrankung) unterschieden. Mit optionalen Zusatzcodes können Schmerzintensität, schmerzbezogener emotionaler Leidensdruck, schmerzbedingte funktionelle Einschränkung, das Vorliegen psychosozialer Faktoren und der zeitliche Verlauf der Schmerzen auf Kodierebene abgebildet werden. Die Implementierung der ICD-11 im deutschen Gesundheitssystem wird aktuell vorbereitet.
