Abstract
We report structural and mechanistic studies on the organocatalytic asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketimines with trichlorosilane. Amines were obtained in good yields and moderate enantioselectivities. Both experiment and computation were utilized to provide an improved understanding of the mechanism.
