Zusammenfassung
Fragestellung: Wie können Finishingmaßnahmen mit der Lingualtechnik einfach und effizient durchgeführt
werden? Welche Maßnahmen sind wann erforderlich? Patient und Methodik: Die vorliegende Kasuistik behandelt die kieferorthopädische Therapie einer 36,1-jährigen
Patientin. Als Ausgangsbefund stellte sich ein frontaler Kreuzbiss mit Mittellinienverschiebung
dar. In den Fronten lagen Engstände und Rotationen vor. Die Behandlung erfolgte mit
dem Incognito-System von lingual. Ergebnisse: Die Zahnbögen konnten vollständig nivelliert, der Kreuzbiss beseitigt und ein regelrechter
Overbite und Overjet eingestellt werden. Die protrudierte Stellung der OK-1er zur
SN-Linie konnte von 122° auf 117° sowie der UK-1er zur ML-Linie von 96° auf 90° verbessert
werden. In der Schlussphase, dem Finishing, wurden zusätzliche Maßnahmen nötig, um
Frontzahntorque, Angulation und Rotation zu optimieren. Schlussfolgerungen: Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Anwendung einiger zusätzlicher Finishingmaßnahmen
für ein optimiertes Behandlungsergebnis notwendig sein können. In der vorliegenden
Kasuistik ließ sich die einfache und effektive Handhabung solcher Maßnahmen aufzeigen.
Abstract
Issue: How can finishing steps be easily and efficiently performed with the lingual technique?
Which steps are required and when? Patient and method: This case study presents the dentofacial orthopedic treatment of a female patient
36.1 years of age. Baseline findings showed a frontal crossbite with displaced midline.
The anterior teeth exhibited crowding and rotations. The Incognito system placed lingually
was used as a treatment appliance. Results: It was possible to achieve complete leveling of the dental arches, elimination of
the crossbite, and correction to a physiologic overbite and overjet. The protruding
position of the UP 1 teeth in relation to the SN line could be improved from 122 degrees
to 117 degrees; the same holds for the LO 1 teeth in relation to the ML line, from
96 degrees to 90 degrees. Additional steps were to be taken during the final stage
of treatment, the finishing phase, in order to optimize torque, angulation, and rotation
of the anterior teeth. Conclusion: It could be shown that a few additional finishing steps may be needed to achieve
optimum treatment outcome. The case study reflects that such steps are easily and
efficiently at hand.
