Langzeittherapie mit Interferon β-1b und Kinderwunsch

Zusammenfassung

Zusammenfassend besteht bei der Patientin eine Encephalomyelitis disseminata seit Ende 1997. Die Patientin wird seit 1998 kontinuierlich mit Interferon β-1b jeden 2. Tag subkutan behandelt und verträgt diese Medikation gut. Im Rahmen eines Kinderwunsches wurde die Therapie im Februar 1999 abgesetzt. Die Schwangerschaft trat im Mai 1999 ein. Nach einem Schub nach der Stillzeit im Juli 2000 wurde wieder mit der Interferon-β-1b-Therapie begonnen und bis heute erfolgreich fortgesetzt. Die erfolgreiche Therapie wird begleitet durch eine gute Adhärenz.

Abstract

In summary, the female patient has been suffering from disseminated encephalomyelitis since the end of 1997. Since 1998, she has been treated continuously with subcutaneous interferon β-1b every other day and the therapy has been well tolerated. The therapy was discontinued in February 1999 because the patient wanted to have a child. Pregnancy occurred in May 1999. Therapy with interferon β-1b was resumed in July 2000 following a relapse after nursing and has been continued successfully to date. Successful therapy is accompanied by good adherence.
