Zusammenfassung
Die Diagnose Krebs ist für die meisten Menschen niederschmetternd. Neben der belastenden Behandlung sind viele Patienten mit dem Rückzug ihres sozialen Umfelds konfrontiert, in einer Situation, in der sie es am meisten brauchen. Ein multimodales therapeutisches Vorgehen, das die mentale Ebene und die Beziehung zu Angehörigen/Freunden einbezieht, kann den Therapieerfolg oder gar erst die Bereitschaft zu einer tumorspezifischen Therapie fördern. Der Autor hat in seiner Praxis die sog. Familienkonferenz entwickelt, die in einem Fallbeispiel exemplarisch vorgestellt wird.
Abstract
For most people, the diagnosis cancer is shattering. In addition to the strenuous treatment, many patients are confronted with the withdrawal of their social environment in a situation, where they need it most. A multimodal therapeutic procedure, which includes the mental level as well as the relationship with relatives/friends, can improve the therapeutic success or the willingness to undergo a tumor-specific therapy. In his practice, the author has developed the so-called family conference, which is presented with the help of a case study.
