Die deutsche Version des Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ): Erste Befunde zu den psychometrischen Kennwerten

Zusammenfassung

Angesichts der Bedeutung von Kindesmisshandlungen für die Entstehung und Behandlung psychischer und psychosomatischer Störungen zielte unsere Studie auf die psychometrische Evaluation der deutschen Version des Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ). In einer Stichprobe psychiatrischer Patienten (N=1 524) konnte mittels konfirmatorischer Faktorenanalyse die etablierte Skalenstruktur (sexueller, körperlicher und emotionaler Missbrauch sowie körperliche und emotionale Vernachlässigung) für die deutsche Fassung bestätigt werden. Alle Skalen (mit Ausnahme der körperlichen Vernachlässigung) zeigten hohe innere Konsistenzen (Cronbachs α≥ 0,89). Die korrelativen Zusammenhänge des CTQ mit Fragebögen zu posttraumatischer Symptomatik, Dissoziation und Psychopathologie lagen im niedrigen bis mittleren Bereich. Die deutsche Version des CTQ zeigte ähnlich gute teststatistische Kennwerte wie das amerikanische Original und stellt ein reliables und valides Screening-instrument zur retrospektiven Erfassung von Kindesmisshandlungen dar.

Abstract

Given the relevance of child maltreatment for the development and treatment of many mental disorders, the objective of our study was the psychometric evaluation of the German version of the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ). In a sample of psychiatric patients (N=1 524) the established factor structure (i. e. sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as physical and emotional neglect) was replicated by means of confirmatory factor analysis. The internal consistency of all scales (apart from physical neglect) was high (Cronbachs α ≥ 0.89). Correlations between the CTQ and self-report measures for posttraumatic stress, dissociation and general psychopathology were low to moderate. The psychometric properties of the German version of the CTQ were similar to the American original; it proved to be a reliable and valid screen for the retrospective assessment of child maltreatment.
